The Grand Scale Railroading Convention will be held in Reedley, California this weekend at the Hillcrest & Wahtoke Railroad, a 5" scale, 15" gauge railway. There will be around 10 or so 15" gauge locomotives in operation, as well as a 3' gauge 0-4-0 Porter formerly owned by Ollie Johnson, a noted Disney animator. They are planning on opening to the public (those not signed up for the Convention) between 12-5pm Saturday and Sunday. Would be a long day trip out of LA or the Bay Area, but probably worth the effort.http://www.grandscales.com/tour2005/index.html |
