The 1225 has also been allowed to use the "Polar Express" name for marketing some very successful November/December excursions, so they have benefitted from the movie beyond the $1,000 payment.Chris Jacks. |

I'm glad the excursions were successful, but it seems $1000 would not even cover expenses of operating the engine for the filming. Considering the megabucks tossed around in Hollywood, I almost couldn't believe that figure when I saw it, especially since 1225 was the centerpiece of the film. |

For the right to say theirs was the engine used in the movie and rights to letter her for that every christmas?No, they got the better end of the deal there! |
