Excuse me; perhaps a dumb question, but is the WM F-unit next to the 2929 an authentic Western Maryland unit? Thanks.Les Beckman

No, it was MILW Rd by way of Maryland Midland Rwy, hence the WM speed-stripe paint job. There were at least two of these that went from MMID to Steamtown Foundation; I think one was painted Lackawanna during the "paint-everything-Lackawanna" era.If my memory is correct, there were also one or more KCS F-units at Steamtown.

Here's the story on the two MILW FP-7's...http://www.cr.nps.gov/history/online_books/steamtown/shs5a.htm97C was painted DL&W and used by the Steamtown Foundation. The unit in the picture, 97A was not operated in Scranton. 97C is now with the Central New York Chapter of the NRHS I think. The KCS unit was #4061. It is now at the TVRM, correct?http://www.cr.nps.gov/history/online_books/steamtown/shs5b.htm

Wasn't 2929 supposed to be going to some museum in British Columbia? Anyone know why it hasn't moved yet? Did the deal fall through?
