I didn't read this, but it appears that the last operator of the Twin State RR may be seeking to salvage track materials he does not own. The Twin State is the northern section of the old Maine Central Mountain Division, out of St. Johnsbury, Vermont. The middle portion of that line is operated by Conway Scenic RR.http://www.stb.dot.gov/__852565CA0070F3 ... D8?OpenThe same operator is the one who the State of Vermont entered into a bad contract with, which ultimately ended up in the Lamoille Valley RR being dismantled. He is probably still being paid by the state for services he hasn't rendered in years. |
