A "bit" yuppified? Nice article talks about where to eat and mountain biking but no mention of the train and it is bad. The D & S has already spent lots of money on smoke scrubbers for the enginehouse and the local clean air people are nosing around even though the air meets all of the standards. It won't be long before the D & S will use propane to get the train out of town and then swith to coal ;>)Mining and ranching are already under attack through out the west, can steam locomotives be far behind?

I've been to Durango. To call it a "bit yuppified" is like saying your wife is a little bit pregnant. I still love the train, but you can keep the town of Durango. WAY to yuppified for me...
