I truly hope Strasburg will get this little gem running again. |

Would be wonderful. As this is the only locomotive to arrive to the SRC under its own power, I was wondering if Linn or Kelly might advise us of its routing? I know its far in the future but this might be the kind of engine easily moved around by truck. Oh the possibilities.Joshua |

My dad took my mother and I along to chase #4 when it ran from Birdsboro. We have movies of the trip. I am not sure of the route but it changed over to the Pennsy in Lancaster by way of some street running. I will try to find out the particulars so we can include it with the data sheet if we are able to restore the engine. |

No I'm sure he means if. If the locomotives needs a ton of work then it probable doesn't justify the cost of restoring the locomotive when it wouldn't be pulling trains. You have to think in a business matter with this locomotive cause Strasburg is a business. Also I'm sure they already have a lot on there plate with four operational locomotives and all the outside work they do. -Eric |

I was at the ARM meeting and took one of the Strasburg shop tours at were offered. I think it was Lynn who was doing the tour.Somehow the topic of the #4 came up while we were going through the engine house. The impression I got from the comments was that it was a neat engine, but it just did not have the power to handle the trains that are operated on the line. After everything else is taken care of then it may be considered for shop work. |
