Seems like they are selling off the most unlikely restoration projects to avoid moving and storing them.Those Pullmans deserve homes...

What you are seeing is the result of burying your head in the sand for a lot of years.Long before the Navy Base was closed some years ago, the museum should have gotten a long term lease or better purchased some property that they could call their own.how many collections have not survived because a group of people failed to understand "there ain't no such thing as a free lunch"Any organization that is existing on a month to month lease is not existing at all! They are just waiting for the inevitable earthquake to happen and first destroy a collection that has taken years to gather and second has been the life work of many people.I have not personal involvement with the Golden Gate Railroad Museum, and if you see this as a flame job, I am sorry but that has happened so many times before. why does it have to happen again and again?Ted Miles
