Actually, color photography had been in use since World War I (by the French I beleive). It's just too bad more railfans couldnt afford it!

I always like to see early color. Those of us who missed thesteam era sort of get programmed to think the world wasblack and white back then.But most shots are rather poor due to the slowASA and the generally low quality of 35mmrailfan cameras. Careful work with Photoshop could snap thisup a bit.
