She looks a little poorer in this picture than she did while displayed in Victoria. I'm sure she's been stripped of specific parts to protect them from vandals. The locomotive looked to be in very good condition while a static exhibit. I've heard that her boiler needs some heavy repairs, but I certainly hope operation is in her not-too-distant future. Can anyone from the Grapevine group (Oh boy, do I have a terrible pun here!) tell us about plans for 771?

The 771 is down the list for evaluation and operation. Don't look for her to be considered for service withing the next two or three years. She will be on display in Grapevine until an evaluation is completed in the not too distant future.
