I am looking for any information on "Rogers" ballast cars sold to the Patterson & Western RR in either very late 1915 or early 1916. There is some evidence they may have been built by Kilbourn & Jacobs (under license to Rogers?)These cars were numbered 40 to 49 on the P&W. all but #41 & 42 were sold by the United Commercial Co. (scrapper of P&W) in early 1921 to Eureka-Nevada ng (3'). Most of these cars were convered to flat cars with low side boards. I have only two, very poor, photos of these. Thanks, Dan |

For the E-N end, the best possible source that I can think of is Greg Maxwell of the Portland, Oregon, area. I have traveled E&P/E-N country with him. Greg set up the Nevada narrow gauge email group at Yahoo groups. Occasionally I've seen him post on the Narrow Gauge Discussion board. |
