I noticed in a post on another site that a surviving F&CC narrow gauge boxcar is at the San Louis Obispo Railroad Museum. Anyone have any information and maybe an address for this museum? eburger1@san.rr.com |

This is a F&CC box car that went to the Nevada-California-Oregon and when that line was standard gauged by the Southern Pacific the box car was one of about twenty that went to the Pacific Coast Railway operating out of San Luis Obispo. I searched the web and found a referenced in a San Luis Obipso city council agenda. Back in August 2000 the city voted to enter into a "lease agreement with the San Luis Obispo Railroad Museum for the use of the City-owned historic freight building located in the Historic Railroad District." Another reference had something about an address for the San Luis Obipso Railroad Museum having a mailing address in Santa Margarita (a city north of San Luis Obispo). In the same area there has been group interested in preserving artifacts of the Pacific Coast Railway.
