When Will Strasburg #31 Run Again?

31 is the backup for 475 until the end of the year. She will probably be out and about in the late winter and early spring. We'll see.

Hey, I really don't think 31 should be decked out in a CN scheme, she is much more historically signifigant as "Strasburg 31" in comparrison to "Canadian National 7312." She was just another switcher to the Canadian National. But to Strasburg, she was the one who prompted a new era of steam railroading; tourist railroads. Joe...

Interesting point, Joe, although the "purists" may disagree. At some point in the near future, I think that #90 will have been owned by the Strasburg longer than by the GW. Which becomes the more "authentic" paint scheme then? One of the Roanoke Capter NRHS's coaches has been owned by us for 33 years, and has been in pretty much constant excursion service during that time. Between its construction in 1947 and 1972, it was owned by 3 different railroads. So what is the most "historic" paint scheme for that car? Food for thought.......
