The atlantic looks like an ex GNR great boilered atlantic. There was a popular live steam model called Maisie based on the design. My grandfather, from the UK, built one to 3.5" gauge. Thankfully, my father and I still have it.Love the A4 photo!Thanks!J

The Bullied Merchant Navy Pacific is 21C12 United States Lines, later British Railways 35012, which was taken out of service in May 1957, only weeks after rebuild. No fewer than eleven Merchant Navy Pacifics, plus several similar Battle of Britain-class Pacifics, survived in one form or another, including the sectioned display at the National Ry. Museum-York.LNER 4495 apparently spent its first two weeks in service as Great Snipe in green paint before being re-named in September 1937 as Golden Fleece, apparently a reflection of its re-assignment to the wool-rich area of West Riding shed.

35012 was rebuilt in February 1957. It was withdrawn from service in April 1967, only three months before the end of steam on the Southern Region.
