I made some inquiry about this unit in 2003-04 thereabouts..It was, at the time owned by a gentleman with an organization known as NARM [North American Railway Museum]. I think this is the individual/group that wants to do a tourist train near Eldon, Missouri [now-dormant section of the former Rock Island St. Louis division].

Sister unit 423 is owned by the Buffalo Southern in NY State. Stored last I heard.Two others (ex SP&S) were up for sale at a WV location. Recall that one or both needed trucl/wheel work.Dave
