White Pass in Oregon. Two days of photography using a White Pass and Yukon photo freight, withgenuine White Pass equipment in White Pass colors and lettering. The trainshould be about ten cars in length and we will have a coach and opengondola on the rear for the photographers to ride. These two cars (which are not genuine White Pass cars) will be uncoupled and staged out of view for all runbys. The train consist will be changed throughout the weekend to allow avariety of different consists to be photographed. The locomotive will beWhite Pass 2-8-2 81. The White Pass and Yukon is in full support of this event and has given us their full blessing to restore and operate this equipment in their colors and proudly display their name. May 10th to 14th, 2006. White Pass in Alaska. We continue on to Alaska for a few days on the real White Pass and Yukon. Both of their steam locomotives, 2-8-0 69 and 2-8-2 73, will be operated, along with the usual assortment of diesels. The first two days will be withdiesels, the last three will be with steam. At least two of the steam dayswill be with double headers. There will be many other events for our groupas well. Their regular trains will also be in operation so there will belots of photo opportunities for everyone.Pricing:The Oregon events will be on a shared expense basis, so the more thatattend the lower the price will be. Most of our costs are incurred intemporarily restoring the equipment to White Pass colors and lettering for this event. Tentative pricing is $150.00 per day, or $250.00 for the entire weekend. We can only accommodate about 40 people on each of these two days soreservations are definitely required.A new number plate is being cast for locomotive 81. For those that areinterested a few extra plates can be made and sold separately, but only tothose people who reserve one. Only enough number plates will be cast tofill advance orders, and provide a plate for the locomotive for this weekend. You do not have to attend the event to order a number plate. It is anticipated the five-day Alaska events will be about $750.00 for all five days. Your air fare, accommodation, meals, etc., are extra and at your cost. Please spread the word to others who may be interested, but everyone must reserve in advance as space is limited. People are coming from Europe for these events. Reservations are now being accepted.
