 Post subject: foundry and patternmaking books?

Can anybody out there recommend a good book on basic patternmaking and foundry work for beginners? I need something to put on the reading list for college students. A reprint of an old book would be best.

"Practical Wood Patternmaking" by J. Robert Hall is good.

"U. S. Navy Foundry Manual" is without compare.
