This July I made a brief visit to Binbrook Technology Park (ie Trading Estate) which is the new name for the former RAF maintenance base. 35011 is dismantled, unrestored and accessible for anyone to visit. Parked next to its bits is former LMS 2-6-0 no 42859, also unrestored but not dismantled. The owning group was the Humberside Locomotive Preservation Group. They had to move the locos from the former Dairycoates MPD, Hull when the land was sold. I believe the group has disbanded, it is at least dormant.Yes we have our failures as well.Jim L. |
