 Post subject: CB&Q mail car question

Here at the 1933 Worlds Fair in Chicago. Now at St. Joseph, Missouri, along with ceremonial 4-4-0 35. Was this really an old car, or something the company shops created atop an old pair of trucks?

I'm not for sure, but the length looks similar to one of the wooden CB&Q cabooses that used the wooden framed passenger trucks.
