At factories that had internal rail operations, running the train was often considered a cut above the average dismal production job, and the plant railroaders were often envied. Here, posing as if ready to take the Twentieth Century to Chicago, the crew of Beaver Wood Fiber Co. Ltd. No. 1 look proud of their little GE 25-tonner, which was probably new at the time, at Thorold, Ontario. Ironically, today's weekend preservation railroaders often strike up the same pose with similar tiny industrial locomotives, wishing to be on the high iron, but limited to museum trackage.

Anyone know if and where this locomotive might survive today, GE b/n 28360?
