The IRS announced, in News Release IR-2005-144, that many of the fees in charges will go up in 2006. This includes fees associated with obtaining a "determination letter" from the IRS recognize your "exempt purpose".

If you are anticipating filing a 1023 package to seek 501(c)(3) status, nows the time. Sale ends when postmarks say 7/1/2006 or later.
