Post subject:  MN&S Russian

Just a nice photo here, this one didn't survive. Minneapolis, Northfield & Southern Russian 2-10-0 504, at Minneapolis, May 1934. Considering the hard times then, a pretty sharp looking engine. They also had one of the WWII variety decapods, which apparently fell through a dock while being loaded, and never made it overseas, the only one of the WWII Russians used on American soil. All MN&S steam was scrapped, though a monster Baldwin diesel survives at IRM, and the ancient, much modified "Dan Patch" boxcab diesel is owned by the MTM folks.
