May 2006 bring you less than expected restoration costs, perfect boilers, large funding grants that arrive in a timely manner, tubes and flues that the boiler inspector says "are perfect", railroads that welcome your long distance excursions, and minimal insurance fees. May your Diesel wiring be intact and unchafed, your prime movers in perfect shape, and your traction motors wound without need of repair. Let your paint schemes be authentic and bright, may your locomotives be stored indoors, let thieves and vandals return what they have previously appropriated, and turn away before approach your local park or shed.
And may you find coal in your stocking, always.

Best wishes from Winterport, Maine,
Richard Glueck

Great sentiments, Richard. Since I am a Southerner and therefore by definition politically incorrect, (and proud of it...) let me add a hearty "Merry Christmas", "Happy Hannukka", "Great Quanza," and all around super whatever you may celebrate this time of year. Whatever our race, religion, political affilation, age, experience, gender, or economic circumstance, we are all a "Band of Brothers" united in the great causes of History and Rail Preservation. May we all keep the faith and continue to fight the good fight throughout 2006 and long into the future. Best Regards,
