Does anyone know if any of the "other" Southern Railway 2-8-0s are available for sale or trade?I am not speaking for any organizations, just would like to see the engines at better homes.I fear that 107 and 154 may be beyond restoration, don't know much about the 385 in New Jersey.I know the Great Smoky Mountains RR thinks these engines are too light for their needs, but I heard a couple years back that GSMRR planned to one day build a museum.I have visions in my head of a standard gauge all steam rr similar to the narrow gauge Durango & Silverton. It would be quite a sight to see a new roundouse filled with the 107,154,385 and the 722. |
