I am trying to determine when Canadian National introduced their different trainman/conductor uniforms/caps. I am aware of two types; the 1940s/50s black cap with 2 thin bands (gold or silver) with the gold/silver badge and the 1960s/70s black cap with the single thick gold or silver band. The latter era also had 2 gold stripes on the jacket sleeves for conductors and a single thick silver band for the trainmen.

Does anyone know exactly what year these uniforms were introduced? Also, were the uniforms of the 20s and 30s the same style as those of the 40s/50s?

Thanks very much.

Jason
