Post subject:  Southbridge Branch news

I believe this branch is in Massachusetts, near Sturbridge Village, but don't hold me to it. From the NARCOA list:

Hope it was a good arrival of the new year to all. And I hope
that with year the Southbridge Branch will open up for us.

First, I would like to tell all that the state of MA and the town of
Southbridge have signed off and are now letting us clear brush and
work on the property. Starting next Saturday and weather
permitting, we are inviting all that would like to help us start
clearing the line.

The rail-to-trails people have also been given permission to start
clearing. Because of this, we are now forming our own group to
help. Don't worry, I will separate you from them. It is important
for to be there and do some work. And it is more important that we
keep track of who was there and for how long in our search for
grants. Please RSVP if you are going to come out and help.

We are now in the process of finishing our feasibility study to be
presented to the state for a new group to take over the
railroad. If you would be interested in doing any of work on
the rail line or railroad, again I would like to hear from you.
