Old postcard showing the Allegheny, the Dewitt Clinton and the Satilla outdoors at the Henry Ford Museum. Any guess at the date? Perhaps at the receiving of the Allegheny?

Here's a caption of a photo taken from this arrangement:

H-8 class Allegheny number 1601 upon arrival at the museum in July 1956 - alongside the 1892 replica of the 1831 DeWitt Clinton and 1858 Rogers 4-4-0.

When I was at the Henry Ford museum in 1985, the 1601 was displayed on a beautiful wood parquet floor. The engine had several aluminum baking pans placed strategically under it, full of kitty litter, to catch the oil drips. Oh to see this one run again!
