| Post subject: | Musuem Library Excess Book Sale Continued |
The Museum of Transportation in St. Louis will continue its sale of excess books and magazines from its library during its 8th annual Transportation Celebration, Aug 4 & 5, 2001. The event will include Frisco #1522 under steam, rides on recently restored 1914 St. Louis Waterworks Ry trolley #10 and a SEPTA PCC, miniature steam trains run by the St. Louis Live Steamers, old cars, trucks, buses, fire trucks and more. Admission is free each day from 9-5, but there is a parking fee of $2 per vehicle. Due to some donations in the past week the book sale will still include car and loco cyclopedias, official guides, Ball, Beebe, and Abdill books as well as many, many magazines. See our mention on Trains.com for a listing of titles and dates. Collectors are urged to bring lists of what they need. Call you friends if you can't come to St. Louis. We have plenty of bags and boxes and you can bring your car near the sale location to load up. Museum of Transportation rdgoldfede@aol.com |
