Post subject:  Petaluma and Santa Rosa 1

The caboose thread down below reminds me that the Northwestern Pacific RR Historical Society, already owners of the NWP 13 (which they restored) have announced that they have taken over the P&SR 1 from the Golden Gate Railroad Museum.

The car is wooden originally from the Southern Pacific RR.

The Petaluma and Santa Rosa was an Interurban that ran north of San Francisco and had freight connection to the city by ferry and steamer.

The car is missing its interior but is sitting on freight car trucks.

I expect it will go to a restoration site in Petaluma before going to a display site after the work is done.
