A rather reserved looking family, appropriately dressed for the era, in the tail car of the Pioneer Zephyr, displayed in Chicago. Nicely done.

There's a Winton engine at the Smithsonian said to have come from the Pioneer Zephyr, yet the one here appears intact. Some have said the Smithsonian engine actually came from the 1933 worlds fair in Chicago, where it powered an electric generating plant. Which is true?

Also, does the restored Zephyr have traction motors?

What's with the tinted (frosted?) windows?

After taking a close look at the picture I am wondering if the Family comes from the Wax Museum from Natural Bridge. They do make really lifelike figures there. They even have all the presidents too in wax.
woul anybody know where the figures came from?

During the presentation on the tour, these windows become rear projection screens which show the countryside as it would look while you are moving down the tracks.
