Does anyone know if the order records of the Leclede Car Co. of St. Louis have survived. Primarily the firm constructed street cars and the like.

It did build c1890 some passenger cars for the 3' gauge, steam Redondo railway (in the Los Angeles area). There is a reproduced advertisement of the Laclede Car Co. that has a cut of these cars. Also the accounting records of the railroad refer to some cars being "Leclede." I would like to find out about this order(s).

Hi Brian:

Since St. Louis Car Company bought out Laclede in 1903, I wonder if Washington Univ of St. Louis might have some Laclede records in their SLCC archives?

Thanks!
