I have recently gotten ahold of a Metropolitan clone of a lifting Hancock inspirator that is confusing me - perhaps somebody out there has some Metropolitan literature and can help me out?

The injector is about half the size of a 10 Hancock - but is marked as size 10 1/2. The combining tube diameter at the choke is 7.5 mm, which by Nathan, Sellers, etc would be a size 7 or 7 1/2. It seems to want to use 1.25" nominal schedule 80 piping which also sort of goes with Nathan and Sellers 7 or thereabouts, although the OD threads are smaller than the others despite the ID being similar.

So, can anybody tell me how the sizes compare? What is the rated capacity of this injector?

The Benson Ford Research Center has various trade catalogs from the Hayden & Derby Manufacturing Company. Copies can be purchased.

Try various searches.

Thank you - who would have imagined this information would have been preserved in an accessable location?
