Post subject:  Ticketing software

Just curious if anyone from the railroad museums on here have purchased special software to handle on-line ticketing for special events. When we ran DOWT we used Ticketmaster or Ticket Web but we are now looking for a program we can use for smaller events. We need to be able to book ticket sales for multiple departures over two to three days for these events.

Any suggestions will be appreciated.

Thanks,

Jim,

Contact Joe Compton at joe@coreim.com. He has developed several ticket programs for small to medium tourist operations here in Ohio. He developed a system for the Cuyahoga Valley Railroad and then a modified version for the Ohio Central Railroad. We used it at the OC with little problems and the affordable software (written in access) is easy to use and customize. I made several changes to the software to better fit our needs. You only need someone with working knowledge of MS Access and databases.

His software could handle excursions for 10 people or 10,000 people.
