Here are a couple of photos of the work progressing on the turntable pit at the "Harry Bennett Center" in Altoona. The roundhouse building itself will go to bid in mid-March. http://www.railroadcity.com/gallery/index.php?cat=49 |

Here's to hoping the roundhouse and turntable are as well done as your museum. I look forward to the day that 1361 can spin on that turntable and back into her stall under her own power. Make sure you build enough stalls to get 4913 and Loretto II inside too, maybe an extra stall for say, oh a GP-9 in another couple years! |

The first phase of the building should include indoor homes for 4913, the Loretto, 1361 and most likely either the Robert Hannegan or the Jacks Narrows. Thank you for your compliment on the Museum, we are very proud of what we offer and the story we tell. Large rolling stock collection or not, nobody tells the "people story" like Altoona. Thanks |
