Post subject:  B&M Portsmouth, NH enginehouse & more! *PICS*

This is the B&M enginehouse in Portsmouth, NH. (These photos were taken Monday Feb. 6th 2006). We expected to find the ruins of the roundhouse and perhaps a partially filled-in pit -- but not an intact turntable! It's approx. 65' feet in length and very accessible.

You lucky stiff! An intact turnable! Can you see if it is an Armstorng table? Are you just taking photos or are you planning on restoring the site?

With an operator's cab and a wire bridge? Looks like it has an electric drive to me.

Ed, the purpose of the trip was to verify that the enginehouse was still there -- which at best it was only "rumored" to still be standing. So to find the turntable intact was amazing.
