| Post subject: | Como depot to Colorado Endangered List |
From Deb Stremke, on the South Park list: Hi Everyone! I got the Depot listed on the Colorado Endangered List! I have known for a while but was sworn to not say anything until after the announcement Luncheon today!! http://www.coloradopreservation.org/ We got to sit together at a table with the owners Mr. & Mrs. Hodges, Chuck Brantigan who owns the Roundhouse, Tom and Denise Klinger, Joe Crea, Pat Mauro who is from the Park County Historical Society and has been in talks with the Hodges to help them understand the importance of saving it. CBS here in Denver has done a documentary on it and will show it on PBS through out the year as well as the other 4 structures listed. Thanks to all that sent letters to help achieve this! Next step is to get an emergency grants to add support to it. But that's a whole other conversation with the owners! Thanks again for all your help! Deb |
