Freedom Train whereabouts

Ran across this site, with known whereabouts of surviving equipment from both the 1947 and 1976 versions of the American Freedom Train:

I think it's great that locations of most of the equipment was so well documented today. You wouldn't have thought that even many railfans would care about this, but I'm glad there are.
I'm proud to have added my own photos of surviving cars to that site (the obs car from the 1975-76 AFT is at Mt Rainier Scenic)...

Sort of... It's on the Tacoma Rail line that Mt Rainier Scenic uses, and stored near our depot in Elbe, WA. It's own by the Mt Rainier Railroad Dining Co, and was used on their dinner train which is currently not operating.

Why the nitpicking? They're two seperate operations, and MRSR doesn't have control over the car, nor can they use it in their operations.

What's the story of why 1995 seamed to be the "magic"year for scraping so much of the train?

Interesting about the Concessions & Merchandise Storage car #33. If it is known for sure it was a PRR baggage car, the SOUTHERN lettering is indeed strange. It does look an awful lot like one of the Southern 500 series baggage cars, however. I wonder if a Southern car might have been substituted for the original #33 for some reason?
