Some gravel pit engines, a couple I don't recognize. Looks like this was the Franklinton operation, and the SP 0-6-0s were still in use at the time. They and the 4-6-0 survived, the others must have been scrapped. Well, the first photo is of ex Caddo & Choctaw, ex Reader RR, ex Hartwell Scenic 2-6-2 # 11 in storage in kentucky. All of the other locos were scrapped, except the 72, and the Louisiana Cypress engine, which was famously stored for years in a Houston garage before relocated to Griffin , GA. |

Sorry about the wrong link on the first one. The last link, with the thumbnails, is the best. Just the 4-6-0 and the two ex-SP 0-6-0s survived. |
