Chill the Fill, the activist group that prevailed last year in its quest to prevent Rochester City Council from filling in the disused subway tunnel has not updated its website <www.chillthefill.org> since August 29, 2005. Does anyone know if the tunnel is still clear, or if the city has gone ahead with the fill project?

I wouldnt say they "prevailed"..
basically nothing has happened yet.

the City still wouldnt have done anything yet anyway, regardless of the activities of "Chill the fill"..
im not sure if the City even paid any attention to them, other than to prevent them from doing any more tours after only one tour..

I hope they are sucessful! (Chill the Fill) and I will join the efforts if the group starts up again. but for now, nothing is happening, and the City's plans (for filling in the subway) are likely still in progress..

although... we did just get a new mayor, after a 12 year reign of the old mayor, so maybe the plans are changing!
but if they are, we havnt heard anything publicly about it yet..
there has been no new news here in Rochester since last summer..
the subway tunnel remains unchanged for now.
