"The National Railroad Museum, located in Green Bay, Wisconsin, is seeking
qualified candidates for the position of Executive Director. The Executive
Director, a full-time position, reports directly to the Museum's Board of
Directors and is responsible for the direction of the Museum's historical
collections, staff, and overall operation. The Executive Director leads a
staff of five full-time employees, several part-time employees, and
numerous volunteers. Additional responsibilities include: financial and
budgetary administration; fundraising; personnel leadership and
supervision; creating and maintaining external relationships with community and government leaders; overseeing maintenance and restoration projects, as well as further development of the Museum's historical collections. With a 50-year history, this year-round museum has over 70 pieces of railroad rolling stock; extensive archival, library, object, and photograph collections; and serves over 70,000 visitors per year. This position presents a unique and exciting career opportunity that includes a
