For months the Nerail website has shown pictures of brush cutting activity along the long disused portion of the Valley Railroad in Connecticut. The captions provided never tell why this is ongoing. Is it for speeders? Expansion of service?

For the best answer, I would say review the posting at this location and post the question there. It is basically the usual posting location for news from the Freinds of the Vally Railroad, who are doing the cleaning.
