Hi all, Just got back from a week in Maine. Once the pics are scanned, I think I will do a full wrtie up for RYPN. I could go on for days about the incredible restoration of the Wiscasset, Waterville & Farmington plus the very professional and entertaining steam train on the Belfast & Moosehead Lake. In addition to seeking out a few cabooses in fields, I did sort of confrim that the Shay in Biddeford is indeed for sale. I have a phone # of the real estate agent handling the land sale and will pass a long as soon as I unpack. There is a lot of fun steam in Maine! Rob Davis inlinebob@aol.com |

Is says on the "Biddeford Station" website that the museum was built (in part) as the northern terminus of the Seashore Trolley Museum. What is the connection (if any) between the two groups...anyone know? Looked at that Shay yesterday, and it just needs to get the heck out of there! Biddeford Station Website sjhussar@aol.com |

Hey Folks! I am one of the owners of the Shay at Biddeford, Me, and I can assure you it is NOT for sale. The building is under conrtract for sale. NOTHING ELSE! Hot Damn! I am from Biddeford Station. The connection is the owner who has ties to the Trolley Museum. Also the Trolley Museums property ties right in with Biddefords. It was the owners hope that once he got established (a restaurant in side a real Great Northern Dining car, etc.) the Trolley museum would then see the profibility in having a destination with a train museum and large scale restaurant,they have no food facilities of their own. In fighting plus others obstacles kept that from occurring. As for the Shay, it is not for sale as John Bay has pointed out in a later post. It is only the building which basically housed everything including a Great Northern caboose that was for sale. There is already an electrical company that has inked a deal for the building.
