North Carolina Department of Transportation Rail Division

I used this site to show the movement of the Seaboard's Hamlet North Carolina station, in the post for the largest railroad structure moved for preservation. I was impressed enough with the site and what the state has been doing to post this site in its own thread for exposure. I know recently that some eastern states have come under fire for little or no effort in railroad preservation. This is just an example that even though a lot of attention goes to sites like Spencer, this state still finds the time and makes the effort to be involved with less "Sexy" preservation projects, those that are more community enhancing. This project is focused on each individual community and not necessarily a central tourist destination, and it is nice to see attention given to both.
