Acquired by the CRI&P from subsidiary Warren & Ouachita Valley in Arkansas to represent an old time engine at the Chicago RR Fair of 1948-49. RI operated it for events through the mid-1950s, then stored it in the roundhouse at Herington, Kansas until about 1966, when it was acquired by individuals and moved to Mid-Continent in Wisconsin for operation. Now on display elsewhere in the cheesehead state. This photo probably about 1952, the Rock Island's 100th anniversary:
