Bob, I really enjoy the fact that you are able to find so many great photos to point use toward. Thank you! In some ways the fine folks in the UK are doing so much better than we are here in the US.

When I find such significant camera art or rare photos that are otherwise hard to find, I just can't let them go unrecognized. Much more interesting to me than endless discussion dribble about whether Reading 2100 will make it up Tacoma Hill or not.

Mr. Yarger's note of "camera art" might be applicable to this image. While gorgeous at first glance, there are little things that make me wonder if some image editing has been going on (the smoke/steam--especially from the stack of the Iron Duke, give me pause).

Of course I could be wrong as well, but I've my doubts that the engines are live, or that even the people were in the orginal picture. Nice engine shed though.

Other than that, a wonderful image that would be a great wall poster. Thanks for posting Bob.

"Iron Duke" (actually "Britannia" wearing a different plate) is definitely not in steam, "Steinbock" (actually 61264) might be in steam and I think the Jubilee might be steamable. Going by the shadows I think the people are not "cut and pasted" into the picture.

A nice picture but I'm seriously fed up with these "lets recreate the past by changing the numbers/names" sessions...........
