I had every intention to ask this while the thread about the white pass tour was still current. I noticed that the 69 was listed as only being viewable in the shop. So, I called the white pass and inquired as to why. They said that the locomotive is currently inoperable and will be until late this season if at all this year. They would not go into any detail other than to say that it has some serious mechanical problems.
so, does any one know what is wrong with the old girl after her million dollar overhaul? My inquiring mind wants to know!
