There were some questions a while back concerning the CP's turntable at Binghamton, NY. This a relatively recent installation, of all new construction. Here is a photo: http://home.stny.rr.com/thannon/new_tur ... mtonNY.jpg Plus the old one nearby, at this former Lackawanna facility: http://home.stny.rr.com/thannon/old_tur ... mtonNY.jpg |

Also In the first image that may be of interest to some on the list are the two Delaware and Hudson GP38's still in the classic "lighting stripe" scheme. I'm pretty sure that there are only two left painted that way, the 7312 which has been "protected" by the CP and the 7304 which I happened to see trailing on a southbound during a recent trip to the D&H. Course what did I find when the slides came back a few days ago, I neglected to get a shot of it! Nice one on my part, huh? -Justin Franz |

They look just as good! Quick question - During my trip I noticed that some of the D&H signals where being replaced with generic tri-colors (Near Wells Bridge I believe) - Is this the start of a major replacement program? Those search-light signals certainly give the feel of the D&H. Thanks for the link. -Justin |
