You have to join the South Park list to see this, but a good view of the Colorado RR Museum's turntable at Golden. This one came from St. Francis, Kansas, on the end of the Burlington's stub-end branch (that was intended to continue westward, but never did). It served a one-stall wooden enginehouse, with 2-8-2s used on local freights and rebuilt 4-4-2s on mixed trains. http://ph.groups.yahoo.com/group/Denver ... w/2221?b=2 |
