Reading Company's former Cressona, PA roundhouse destroyed by fire

Opened - 1928, the last new roundhouse built by the Reading. 6 stalls, 125-ft length,
brick walls, wood roof
Closed - 1933, as a Depression-era economy move
3-point 100-foot turntable moved to Bridgeport roundhouse in 1947.
Turntable later purchased and moved to Railroad Museum of Pennsylvania

Last used as a textile business. I believe the owner also had some antique vehicles stored inside

Bad news. But at least it was not filled with historic railroad equipment.
