Just a quick FYI: The 2160, as far as I've been told, is little more than a parts source. It was gutted by SEPTA and used as a work trolley, and has its own set of problems (thus the towing off the trailer). There has already been some serious discussion of reworking the body as a watertight booth and setting it up as a tourist attraction elsewhere, such as the Inner Harbor, the B&O Museum, making it a rubber-tired parade vehicle, etc. None of this has gotten past brainstorming as far as I know; if someone desires a real PCC body for another project, drop the BSM a line and I suspect reasonable offers will be entertained. |
