I haven't seen anything posted yet about the first annual Flying Yankee Gala and the accompanying auction of the Winton 201A parts that was held on April 1st. Did anybody participating in this forum attend the event? Have they selected the new state-of-the-art propulsion system for the train yet? Where is the remaining portion of the Winton engine going to end up, or is the rest of it going to be auctioned off in pieces at future events?

You could try emailing them at info@flyingyankee.com. However, I hope you have better luck than I have had, as I have not received answers to my inquiries despite being a contributor. Although posted on their web site, the address appears to be a bit bucket.

When you look back at the history of this project and the number of times it has changed directions (the abandoned restaurant scheme, the attempt to resurrect the Winton, the "educational" display of the engine and the generator, etc. etc.) I would guess it might be rather challenging to explain it all. Since I posted my earlier message I heard from one friend who attended the banquet event and he indicated that no opportunity was provided for asking questions.
